Russian mining giant, Nornickel has introduced the positions of Vice President for Investment Project Management and Vice President for Ecology and Industrial Safety to implement its most important programmes more efficiently.
Andrei Ambartsumyan, who previously headed the Department of Strategic Projects Management, has been appointed Vice President for Investment Project Management and Stanislav Seleznev, previously Director of the Ecology Department, has been appointed Vice President for Ecology and Industrial Safety.
Functionally, the two top managers will report to Sergey Dubovitsky, Senior Vice President, Head of Nornickel’s Strategy and Strategic Project Management, Logistics, and Resource Support Unit.
The new appointees are tasked with strengthening the company’s development in its two most important strategic areas, those of investment and capital construction management and those of ecology and industrial safety.

Nornickel’s investment programme provides for the comprehensive renewal of existing assets, whether through renovation, modernisation, or replacement; the construction of new capacities; and the implementation of an environmental programme.
